AT&T is improving service for its customers across Wisconsin to keep residents connected wherever they live, work and play.
So far in 2017, AT&T has made 418 enhancements to our networks here in Wisconsin to give customers faster, more reliable wireless services.
These AT&T network investments include:
The addition of 24 new cell towers throughout Wisconsin to our 4G LTE network;
The expansion of our 4G LTE network coverage to 83 cell towers in communities across the state; and
The addition of network capacity on 256 cell towers across Wisconsin.
These investments include the addition of 24 new cell towers on AT&T’s 4G LTE network in Baraboo (2), Black River Falls (3), Eau Claire, Fitchburg, Fremont, Hixton (2), Juneau, North Freedom, Osseo (2), Pleasant Prairie, Sauk City, Sparta, Tomah (2), Warrens, Wausau (2), Wauwatosa and Wisconsin Dells.
Our investment will help customers get the most out of their mobile devices. With 4G LTE service, customers will experience better network connectivity while streaming videos, sharing on social media or texting family and friends.
AT&T is proud of our commitment to Wisconsin. We invested nearly $725 million in our Wisconsin wireless and wired networks from 2014 to 2016, including 588 wireless network upgrades across the state in 2016. These investments drive a wide range of upgrades to reliability, coverage, speed and overall performance for residents and businesses.
These network enhancements also improve critical services that support public safety and first responders.
AT&T has entered into a public-private partnership with FirstNet to build and manage America’s first-ever nationwide broadband network for first responders. Should Wisconsin opt in to the FirstNet network, we expect to make a significant investment to build, upgrade and maintain the FirstNet network in Wisconsin over the next 25 years, bringing our state’s first responders the coverage, value and experience they expect.
We are proud of our investment across Wisconsin, and we are excited for what the future holds.
