AT&T Debuts New Mobility & Entertainment Store in Westlake

New Retail Store Concept Among the First Nationwide

WESTLAKE, Feb. 24, 2018 — AT&T* debuted a new 4,200 sq. ft. entertainment-focused retail store in Westlake. The new store in Crocker Park is the first of its type in Ohio and aims to connect customers to the entertainment content they want anytime, anywhere and on any device. Cleveland Cavaliers forward Jeff Green, the Cavs Scream Team and mascot Moondog joined the store opening celebration.

Cleveland Cavaliers Forward Jeff Green (center) joined Westlake Mayor Dennis Clough, State Representative Dave Greenspan, and AT&T Director of External Affairs Nikki Jaworski for the opening of the new AT&T Mobility & Entertainment store in Westlake

The new store reflects the changing ways our customers use their mobile devices for entertainment. In the last year alone, video traffic on our network grew over 75%. In our new store, you can interact with content across many different screens and find the best video, internet and wireless options available from AT&T.

“As technology continues to evolve, we need to make sure Northeast Ohio is evolving to support it,” said State Representative Dave Greenspan. “AT&T’s new store and continued investment helps our community stay competitive and plugged into the latest trends.”

“Westlake is proud of its vibrant businesses and we’re pleased to have AT&T invest in this cutting-edge new store in the heart of our community,” said Westlake Mayor Dennis Clough. “Our city is technology-focused, so we look forward to this being a popular destination for anyone who wants to see the latest in entertainment and technology.”

“The Cavaliers are proud to support our great partner in the community, AT&T, for this exciting new store opening at Crocker Park, sure to be a fan-favorite location,” said Robert Gelman, Senior Director of Global Corporate Partnerships for The Cleveland Cavaliers. “AT&T and The Cavaliers have a shared vision in building technology and progress in Northeast Ohio to deliver experiences and convenience to our fans and consumers.”

Some key features of the new store format are:

  • Entertainment, everywhere. The new stores illustrate the intersection of entertainment and connection. We’ve added more screens to showcase video content as well as its availability across virtually any device with our DIRECTV and DIRECTV NOW services.
  • Smartphones and more. We’ve moved the phones off the walls to the center of the store to make it easier to compare and choose what’s best for you. We also have two focus areas to highlight the most popular smartphone brands and compatible accessories, like VR goggles and smartwatches. We expanded our lineup of accessories, and we’ve made them easier to find.
  • A comfortable experience. We’ve designed these stores for you to have a personal connection with our employees and services. We know selecting a phone, plan and even adding TV and home broadband to your list takes longer than grabbing a shirt off the rack. We added comfortable areas where you and our employees can work together.

“Today, more than half of our network traffic is video. This new store in Westlake will help local customers connect more seamlessly to the entertainment they love,” said Eric Decker, Director of Sales, AT&T Ohio.

The new store is located at 167 Market Street in Westlake, inside Crocker Park. The hours of operation are: Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. and Sunday, 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.
