$15,000 contribution from AT&T helps adults learn job skills
through expansion of Nicasa’s Strive to Succeed
AT&T* is supporting Nicasa’s Strive to Succeed (S2S) program that helps adults in North Chicago and Waukegan improve their skills and employment prospects.
Nicasa’s S2S program helps provide resources to Lake County women and men, including many who have a criminal justice history, to help better prepare them for employment opportunities. AT&T is contributing $15,000 to support this program.
“Through this contribution to Nicasa, AT&T is strengthening the job skills of these adults to help prepare them for employment opportunities,” said AT&T Illinois President Paul La Schiazza. “Our support is designed to help improve their lives for today and for tomorrow.”
“With AT&T's support to Nicasa these men and women will be given the skills they need to find employment and an opportunity to rebuild their lives,” said State Sen. Melinda Bush. “A good paying job can provide a lifeline to a better life and new opportunities. A big thanks to AT&T for helping in our communities.”
“These men and women have been through so much and often struggle with self esteem and self-
confidence,” said Bruce Johnson, Chief Executive Officer of Nicasa. “AT&T’s caring and generosity is going to change their lives, restore their confidence, and help them to reach their full potential.”
AT&T employs more than 12,000 people in Illinois and invested more than $3 billion in its Illinois wired and wireless networks from 2013 and 2015.
