The AT&T Pioneers’ “Tools For Learning” program

With the new school year well under way, AT&T Michigan Pioneers have continued in their efforts to outfit students in need throughout the state with the school supplies they’ll need to have a happy, successful school year. This past month was a particularly busy one for Pioneers, presenting school officials in Mackinaw, Muskegon, Kent, St. Clair, Newaygo, Genesee and several other counties throughout the state with backpacks stuffed with essential school supplies for elementary school students.

AT&T Pioneers are active employees and retirees who volunteer time to enhance the communities where they live and work. The Pioneers work throughout the year to raise the money they need to buy paper, pencils and other school supplies they include in the backpacks. In total, the Pioneers plan to deliver more than 2,600 backpacks to students in need throughout Michigan this year.
